On Saturday, September 23, 2018, we went to watch a BC Lions football game. They played against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The game took place at BC Place. Before the game started we had the opportunity to go on the field and watch the players warming up. It was great to be that close to the players.

The game started at 7.00 p.m. and immediately we could feel the excitement of the fans. Everyone was cheering, singing, and supporting their team in a different way. Our seats were directly beside some very dedicated BC Lions fans that had their faces painted in orange and black, were playing drums, and wearing BC Lions jerseys. It was really great to see these fans as they were making everyone on the field excited. The music that was playing during the game the whole event was just awesome.

The game started in our favour as the BC Lions scored three points in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the BC Lions seemed to get comfortable and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats scored their first touchdown, taking the lead. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats maintained this lead until the end of the final quarter. We had all started to doubt that the BC Lions could come back to the game. However, we all were wrong when Bryan Burnham made an exceptional catch at the end zone. At first, the catch was ruled an incomplete, but after review, it was deemed complete and the game was tied. that was the moment when everyone stood up and started to cheer we were so happy! During the overtime, the BC Lions eventually was able to win. It was a great night and great victory. The students really enjoyed the evening.
