It is fun to tube in Whistler!

Mar 27, 2019

On Saturday, March 23, 2019, we went on a trip to Whistler, British Columbia. Whistler is a famous tourist attraction in British Columbia, because of its beautiful landscape. People indulge into many amazing activities such as, skiing, snowboarding and tubing. Our primary activity in Whistler was snow tubing at the Coca-Cola Tube Park. Snow tubing is a fun activity, which involves an individual riding downhill on top of an inner tube. As it requires no skill, anyone can go tubing. Therefore, it is famous among families and also people who aren’t familiar with skiing or snowboarding.

Our journey started at 9 a.m. by leaving the NYIT downtown campus and travelling bychartered bus through the Sea to Sky Highway. The view from the highway is breathtaking as always. We reached Whistler at 11 a.m. We went towards the Excalibur Gondola, and got the tickets on the way. We got to the gondola and got off at the first stop and walked towards the tube park. After reaching the tube park, we were given our tubes and then we headed towards the top. Students were filled with excitement as we reached to the top. Also, the view from there was phenomenal! We kicked off by tubing in the group of four. It was an adrenaline pumping experience as we were speeding downhill. Students were having a lot of fun! We were booked for 2 hours, so some students kept repeating by tubing at different tracks, in groups as well as individually. After
2 hours, we headed back to the village where we had some food, and then walked around and clicked pictures with the Olympic Rings. At 5 p.m. we left the village and went to Vancouver. We reached the campus at 7 p.m.Overall, it was such simplistic yet fun activity. The inner child in every student woke up!
