Capilano Suspension Bridge - Welcoming activity for the New Students from Spring 2019
On Friday, January 11, 2019, we went to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is one of the major tourist attractions in Vancouver. Also, the Capilano Suspension Bridge was built in 1889 and, is 137 metres long and 70 metres high. We reached there at 2:30 p.m. via public transit. It was a bit cloudy that day, which made the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the scenery seen at the suspension bridge. After reaching there, the students were checked in by the Capilano Suspension Bridge staff and were given annual passes. The students were excited to witness the beautiful view. We finally entered the suspension bridge. As the students entered, they were mesmerized by the view of the rainforest and the Capilano river flowing below them. Some students experienced a bit of difficulty, as they feared heights, but soon with the help and positivity of other students, they crossed the bridge. After crossing the bridge, the happiness in the student’s faces were magical! We clicked some pictures with our new students. We went to the Treetops Adventure, a series of treetop suspension bridges, which gives an amazing view of the rainforest. Moreover, we also went to Cliffwalk, which gives a breathtaking view of the rainforest, as if we are on a cliff. Furthermore, as it was winter season, the new students also witnessed the famous Canyon Lights, which consist of beautiful lighting all around the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. We crossed the suspension bridge again to go back. The students received a certificate which said, “I MADE IT” with stamp of the date on it. The students were very happy to have such a wonderful experience and definitely want to go back to this attraction.
