The annual 2018 American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) was held on February 22-24 in New Orleans, Louisiana. CSM is a national conference where professionals and students partake in educational seminars, new research, and networking events with other physical therapists and students from across the globe. Over 17,000 Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and students attended, making it the largest physical therapy conference in the world.

NYIT DPT faculty and students were busy both scholastically and socially during the three-day event. Several faculty members and students had the opportunity to present their original research. All NYIT faculty, students, and alumni also were able to gather socially and mingle at the first ever NYIT alumni event.

Dr. Eric Greenberg presented three posters pertaining to his research on rehabilitation clinical practice patterns of physical therapists and orthopedic surgeons after ACL Reconstruction
Dr. Gugliotti presented a poster on a systematic review of the McMurray’s Test for knee Pathology
Dr. Ingenito and Nina Gerardi, DPT presented a poster on a laboratory study on the Effect of Different Gaming Systems on Cardiovascular Response
Dr. Southard presented a poster on a study regarding the Energy Expenditure while Ambulating with Different Cane Types
