Dr. Colleen P. Kirk Presented Research on Territoriality in Consumer Behavior

Dr. Colleen P. Kirk, Assistant Professor of Marketing, presented her research on territoriality in consumer behavior at the prestigious annual conference of the Society for Consumer Psychology in San Francisco in February. The paper, entitled “Hey, That’s Mine! The Effect of Others’ Psychological Ownership Signals on Consumers’ Territorial Responses,” was coauthored with Joann Peck of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Scott Swain of Clemson University. Dr. Kirk is lead author on the work, which was one of only 15% of submitted individual papers accepted for presentation at the conference.
