Video trailer: NYC Net-Zero Carbon Neighborhoods project

Jun 09, 2020

Our short video has just been released showing NYIT graduate urban design partnership with NYC Net-Zero Carbon Neighborhoods project.

Our urban design graduate students are working with the American Institute of Architects (AIANY) in collaboration with a leading US and international research consortium to confront the challenges and opportunities of achieving net-zero carbon districts in New York City. The net-zero district is a case study for a National Science Foundation grant won by NYIT and US-European research collaborators. An expert workshop was held at the NYC Center for Architecture focused on the low-carbon urban design district prototype by NYIT graduate students. This workshop was the basis for the MSAURD Urban Design Climate Lab studio Spring 2020, whose results have just been released in May 2020 - https://blogs.nyit.edu/spotlight_on_urban_design/net_zero_district_for_new_york_city_urban_design_climate_lab_final_review_1
