The Importance of Passion in Entrepreneurship

Dec 02, 2019

Craig Dubitsky, founder of Hello Products was the most recent guest of our podcast, In Reality: Lessons from Leaders and Entrepreneur.

Dubitsky has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, which started when he was young with the creation of a car wash lemonade stand. However, the idea for Hello Products began from Dubitsky walking through a drug store and seeing the products on display, as well as looking at their ingredients. From this experience, he knew he wanted to create friendly oral care.

Talking about entrepreneurship, Dubitsky believes it is essential to find out what you love. Even though it is a cliché, he explains, if you love it, you will work hard on it, and it will not feel like work. Additionally, Dubitsky discusses the importance of finding the right people. He states, “The difference between someone who has an idea and someone who brings it to life is their ability to get people to really help them.” Other people are able to see your passion, and they themselves become impassioned and work towards the same goals.

Dubitsky believes he is as a carrier who finds the best people and lets them be creative. This is the magic of the company, and why it is as successful as it is today. Furthermore, Dubitsky learned from his mother “there’s nothing wrong in trying,” which is something we all need to remember!
