Namrata Pandey, a recent MBA graduate with a concentration in Finance, is currently working as a Student Associate in Finance at Madison Square Garden. In this position, Pandey assists the Finance department in preparing schedules for the auditing process. Additionally, she maintains tracing reports using Oracle and TM1 for monthly MSG ticket requests. Pandey states, “Joining a company as an intern gives you the opportunity to work hands on in a professional environment. As an intern you’re not just there to get coffee or run errands, but you’re there to gain actual work experience.”

Pandey credits her internship for giving her the opportunity to transition into a full-time job when the time comes. Her goal is to find work with a company in the financial services field. She states, “My long term goal is not just to find a job to sustain myself, but to make an impact wherever I go by contributing my knowledge and skills to others.” Furthermore, Pandey believes “internships are a way to test drive possible jobs and explore different career options. As we all know, employers often use internships as a recruitment tool to test out future employees, and in many cases, companies hire interns after graduation. I firmly believe this internship at Madison Square Garden has increased my chances of being hired and has made me a better potential employee.”
