Shaya Sheikh, Ph.D., assistant professor of operations management; Ehsan Kamel, Ph.D., assistant professor of energy management; and Xueqing Huang, assistant professor of computer science, have co-authored a paper, “Data-driven predictive models for residential building energy use based on the segregation of heating and cooling days,” published online in the journal Energy with impact factor 6.08 on June 22, 2020, with print publication to follow on September 1, 2020.

Shaya Sheikh and Ehsan Kamel also wrote and presented a conference article entitled “Typical Meteorological Year and Actual Weather Data in Data-Driven Machine Learning Models for Residential Building Energy Use” at ASHRAE 2020 Virtual Conference.
