In the fall, Dr. Shaya Sheikh presented his research at INFORMS Annual Meeting 2016 Nashville. This meeting invited academics, industry experts, students, INFORM members, and representatives of government agencies to join together. During the meeting, they were able to listen to presentations, panel discussions, as well as oral and poster presentations. The research Dr. Sheikh presented investigated the role of energy storage as a game changer in the energy industry.

Dr. Sheikh was also appointed this spring as the conference co-chair for the International Association of Engineers International MultiConference of Engineers and Computer Scientists 2017 (ICINDE’17). The conference will take place in Hong Kong on March 15-17, 2017. “The IMECS 2017 is organized by the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), a non-profit international association forthe engineers and the computer scientists” (International Association of Engineers).
