Dr. Purushottam Meena recently gave a talk on Supply Chain Optimization and participated in the panel discussion at the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development event on “Innovation and Supply Chain Optimization Based on Production and Market Potentials in the Dominican Republic and the USA”. The event was organized with the National Supermarket Association (NSA) and the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR) as part of the Dominican Week 2016. Dr. Meena was asked to participate in this event based on his research. During the talk, Dr. Meena gave a broad picture of supply chain optimization best practices and some recommendations on how to improve common challenges such as sourcing and relationships between buyers and sellers in the Dominican Republic and the United States.

Dr. Meena is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at NYIT. His primary research interests are in the area of Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, and Optimization. Dr. Meena serves as the Associate Editor and Editorial Board Members for several top journals in his field.
