On May 18, School of Engineering and Computing Sciences faculty and staff joined graduating students and their families to present awards for outstanding achievements and performance.

More than 100 people were in attendance, 27 of which were award recipients.

Dr. Nada Anid, dean of the School of Engineering and Computing Sciences, kicked off the event with a heartfelt congratulations speech to the attendees during the reception. After the dinner, Dr. Babak Beheshti, associate dean, led the award ceremony.

The Dean’s awards in Computer Science and Electrical and Computing Engineering were awarded to Richard Sharrot, Scott Paillant, Kayla Ho, and Priyank Kashyap.

In addition, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Award, which recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the Mechanical Engineering major throughout a four-year program, was given to Jonathan Furniss, Jordan Mauro, Kieran O’Sullivan, and Matthews Gregory.

Other awards included the Energy Management Achievement Award, given to Jonathan Donkor-Leh and Kinjal Chaturbhai Patolia for combining scholarship with personal achievements, and the Louis Liss Memorial Award, given to Richard Madden and Tiffany Montoya for showing creative ability and ingenuity in the field.
