New York Tech Opens Second Incubator at LaunchPad Huntington

On May 9, 2025, the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences (CoECS), in partnership with Long Island Software and Technology Network (LISTnet), officially launched its second business incubator—this time at LaunchPad Huntington. Dean Babak D. Beheshti, Ph.D. led the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside Peter Goldsmith (LISTnet Chair and Director at CoECS), Tyler Roye (CEO, eGifter), and Paul Trapani (President, LISTnet).
The launch followed the Spring 2025 NESTS FlyOff, where student entrepreneurs pitched their startups to a panel of academic and industry leaders. Capping off an afternoon focused on innovation, the opening of the new incubator highlighted CoECS’s continued commitment to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs.
The LaunchPad is a coworking and event hub for tech startups. It also serves as a designated New York State Innovation Hot Spot—giving startups access to tax incentives, mentorship, and a vibrant business community. New York Tech students will have priority access to the space, offering a direct path into Long Island’s growing startup network
The new Huntington incubator builds on the success of New York Tech’s incubator space at the Digital Ballpark in Plainview, launched in 2023, which continues to drive regional innovation.
“LaunchPad Huntington is not just an expansion of physical space; it is an extension of possibility,” said Dean Beheshti. “It reflects our commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and startups across Long Island by providing the resources, mentorship, and community they need to thrive. When education, industry, and technology come together, remarkable things happen.”
