SoAD NYIT ARCH 703 Global Megacities Studio project as the sustainable and resilient cities, Case Study for the GCRC 2020 Governing Climate Resilience Cities workshop.

Plenary Session #1

Gowanus Case Study presentation – District context and design process (led by Assoc. Prof. Raven and MSAURD student-alumni Yuval Eynath).

Workshops Phase

Workshop A: Narrative, stakeholders, and value proposition: Identifying triple bottom-line priorities- Economy, Equity, Environment.

Workshop B: Urban Design Climate Workshop: Interdisciplinary team of students and experts curating research, precedents, and proposed urban design interventions. MSAURD students split between workshops; all attendees contributed submissions to the dynamic board.

Plenary Session #2

Open forum (led by Assoc. Prof. Raven), focused on synergies between outputs from Workshop A & Workshop B. Participants took part in ideas to action session: identifying, curating, diagramming and testing themes on shared dynamic board platform.

US and European Participants: Experts from NASA Goddard Institute (Columbia University), experts and graduate students from universities of Pisa, Napoli and Dublin, Ireland.
