Graduate Students present their work to Brooklyn community and policymakers
Our graduate students are impacting New York City’s future through the cutting-edge applied research from our Graduate Urban Design programs.
On Day 1, our student presented their project and research to Gowanus Neighborhood Coalition for Justice (GNCJ), one of NYC’s foremost advocacy organizations serving the Brooklyn community comprising multiple community-based organizations. On Day 2, they presented to the Policy Working Group comprising the following:
- NYC Mayor’s Office
- NYC Department of City Planning
- NYC Department of Environmental Protection
- NYC Economic Development Corporation
- Office of NYC Council member Community Boards
Our Urban Climate Lab is providing sustainable and resilient urban design strategies for the redevelopment of Gowanus District in Brooklyn, NY—now under an ambitious rezoning proposal.
