Back at Zebra Technologies: A Return to Innovation

May 05, 2025

On Friday, May 2nd, during a return visit to Zebra Technologies' Long Island headquarters, New York Tech students, faculty, and staff once again stepped into the world of cutting-edge innovation. Hosted by Zebra’s dynamic team, they explored advanced labs, innovation spaces, and real-world applications of engineering and business technologies.

From detailed demos of scanning and robotics solutions to insightful conversations about career pathways, workplace culture, and Zebra’s robust internship program, the visit offered an exciting glimpse into life at a global technology leader.

Zebra Technologies continues to serve as an inspiring example of what’s possible at the intersection of design, engineering, and enterprise. We extend our sincere thanks to the Zebra team for their hospitality and commitment to creating impactful learning opportunities for the next generation of tech leaders. A special thanks goes to Scott Froehlich, Senior Director of Product Operations, for once again welcoming our students and offering a window into Zebra’s innovative world.

Zebra remains a powerhouse in the business-to-business landscape, delivering cutting-edge software and hardware solutions—from mobile computing and barcode scanning to RFID, autonomous robotics, and machine vision. With assets exceeding $7 billion and a workforce of nearly 10,000 employees, Zebra has earned its place as a global leader in advanced data capture and intelligent automation.

This visit was made possible through our KEEN Partnership and their Engineering Unleashed initiative. New York Tech’s College of Engineering & Computing Sciences is proud to be a member of KEEN, the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network—a national coalition of engineering faculty and staff committed to fostering innovation in engineering education for the betterment of society.
