My name is Jess! I am a Graphic Design major studying in my last year at NYIT. My current interests lie with advertisement, editorial and book designing, but I love all things graphic design nonetheless! I’ve always been interested in art, doodling in all of my notebooks and worksheets as a kid. I’d often draw on the back of my tests asking for extra credit, which never worked but it was worth a shot. I attended an all girls high school in NYC where expressing yourself wasn’t necessarily encouraged, other than a few underfunded basic art classes. However, in my junior year of high school, I was introduced to graphic design. When I found out the class was being offered, I jumped on it. Since then, I knew what I wanted to do with my future. 

In my 3rd year of college, I was offered an internship at WMA, a music agency that works with many clients in the music industry for their social media and design needs. There, I got a full view of what working as a graphic designer could possibly be like and I’m so excited to dive into the field. Now I am here, a graphic designer on the edge of graduating who can’t wait to get out there and use all the skills I've learned along the way.
