My name is Jacob Greene. I am currently a senior at NYIT majoring in Digital Arts. I am also a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Prior to attending NYIT, I attended Suffolk County Community College and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Computer Arts. My areas of interest include illustrating children’s books, producing animated shorts and animating video games.

Since 2011, I have produced various animated shorts (The Bear and the Bees and The Elephant and the Trampoline), wrote and illustrated children’s books and obtained a copyright for a video game design. At age 16, I attended the “High School of Performing Arts” in Syosset, New York which enhanced my artistic passion. I have also taught children with developmental disabilities how to design and code video games.

My artwork has been displayed at the Montaukett Library on the Riverhead Campus of Suffolk County Community College and I have also participated at the college in a students’ art exhibit. My artwork has also been published in the Suffolk County Community College Student newspaper Compass. In May 2020, I participated in the NYIT Animated Film Festival.

Following graduation from NYIT, I am looking forward to writing, illustrating and publishing my children’s books. I am also looking forward to producing more animated shorts. Being creative is a very important part of my life and I enjoy sharing my cartoon characters with others.
