ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

A native of India, Jasmine Kaur is a graduate student at New York Institute of technology pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. She has a never-ending thirst to explore new concepts and keep improving her craft as a designer.

As a child, Jasmine used to love painting and drawing. She was an active participant in all the art events at school, assisting her teachers for day celebrations. These small interests were left behind when she attended engineering college. She worked in a non-for-profit organization during her graduation where she played an important role in design publicity for awareness events and even got exposure to the design discipline. She is passionate about helping the underprivileged, as she wants her design work to make a difference in the lives of people in need. Jasmine is working on a thesis focused on child education regarding inappropriate touching. She will be working towards making posters and comic books for child awareness. She also has been a part of The National Society of leadership and success.

Jasmine is taking mini steps towards her design career. Miss. Kaur is an extremely determined and hard-working student. She loves exploring and experimenting with design and enjoys learning new software. She is a fast learner and a good observer. She acquired most of her design skills while exploring different design principles. She loves children and imagines herself spending her life designing children’s movies and comics.

Jasmine is currently living in New York.
