ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Jake Mangan is an animator and graphic artist from Amityville, New York, with a BFA in Film from LIU Post and currently completing his MFA in Fine Arts & Technology at NYIT. The focus of his artwork is the emphasis of storytelling and creating interesting visuals through dark themes and psychedelic imagery. His main inspirations are Gerald Scarfe’s animation work for Pink Floyd: The Wall, and the surrealist illustrations by Ralph Steadman. What motivates Jake Mangan to continue to create work is the drive to tell stories and the experience of showing viewers something they have never seen before.
