Benjamin Hall Appointed Senior Research Fellow for 2024-2025 Academic Year

The Center for Offsite Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Benjamin Hall as a Senior Research Fellow for the 2024-2025 academic year. With over a decade of experience in architecture, design, and construction technology, Hall brings a wealth of expertise in offsite and industrialized construction, mass timber systems, and digital transformation.

As Senior Product Manager at Green Canopy NODE, Hall has led the development of an innovative volumetric mass timber building system designed to expedite residential construction while significantly reducing costs and environmental impact. His leadership in this area, which includes overseeing the design and construction of a prototype mass timber townhome, positions him as a leader in sustainable and efficient building solutions. Hall has also played a crucial role in advancing digital transformation initiatives within the company, including the adoption of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and Autodesk Construction Cloud, ensuring that Green Canopy NODE stays at the forefront of construction technology.

Hall's expertise extends beyond product design. He has actively contributed to the Modular 2.0 initiative, collaborating with industry partners to develop modular product platforms and standard interfaces. His thought leadership in this space has been demonstrated through presentations, publications, and engagement in key industry forums. Additionally, Hall's extensive background in construction management, product development, and cross-functional team leadership will be invaluable in advancing the Center’s mission to drive innovation in offsite construction.

Benjamin Hall’s multifaceted career also includes roles as Director of Design at Green Canopy NODE and involvement in humanitarian design through Formm, a nonprofit he co-founded. His diverse experience in both the commercial and nonprofit sectors, along with his passion for sustainable design, will further enrich the Center’s research and development initiatives.
