The Center for Offsite Construction is excited to announce an upcoming retreat with our Senior Research Fellows, where we will embark on drafting the Modular 2.0 document. This initiative aims to better define the future of US offsite Construction by addressing critical challenges and embracing new technological advancements.

Our retreat is scheduled to gather industry leaders, technologists, and designers to chart a high-detailed path for all of US construction. We will explore how US offsite construction can move beyond its current limitations by explaining a concise history of the industry as context for a detailed research roadmap. 

In total, the Modular 2.0 Vision, History, and Roadmap will elaborate direct action to address pressing issues such as standardizing interfaces, improving supply chain interoperability, and leveraging automation for accelerated project timelines. By focusing on these areas, we aim to make all offsite construction more efficient, sustainable, and scalable than ever before.

Center staff has already sketched early drafts. We know Modular 2.0 is a comprehensive roadmap for integrating advanced technologies, streamlining manufacturing processes, and creating a more organized marketplace. The retreat represents a crucial next step in reshaping the built environment, setting the stage for rapid innovation and widespread adoption.
