Sony

Imagine that you are commuting to NYIT Manhattan on the subway, the other passengers on the train looking at you curiously as you read from what looks like a small computer screen that you are holding in the palm of one hand.

The NYIT/NYCOM Library System is pleased to make e-book readers available for use by the community. Currently, the following 28 titles are loaded (.pdf).  Together they represent the NetLibrary Management & Leadership collection.

Who is eligible to borrow an E-Book Reader?
Registered students, current employees of NYIT/NYCOM with a valid NYIT/NYCOM ID card may borrow an e-book reader.

How do I borrow an e-book reader?

  • E-Book readers may be borrowed at the circulation desk for circulation for one week.
  • E-Book readers are charged out with a USB charger or wall charger. The same rules apply to these items as to the e-book reader.
  • Only one e-book reader may be borrowed by a user at one time.
  • Borrowers must checkout e-book readers in person.
  • The library does not take reservations. The e-book readers are loaned on a first come, first served basis.
  • E-book readers may be renewed, subject to availability.
  • If there are fines on your library account, you may not borrow an e-book reader until all your fines are cleared.
  • Staff reserve the right to request an additional picture ID.
