The myNYIT web portal has launched, offering streamlined access to a variety of internal and external resources in one, easy-to-navigate customized Web page. Log in to the portal, accessible at my.nyit.edu, with your NYIT user name and password (the same credentials used for MyMail or Outlook Exchange).

The portal features 3 sections, with content specific to faculty, staff, and students:

1. Official communications from NYIT.
2. “Portlets,” which resemble widgets or gadgets on popular commercial portals, with useful links, an events calendar, NYIT Libraries’ Bearcat the online catalog, and athletics updates, among others. You can choose which portlets you want displayed and in which order.
3. External portlets, with links to popular sites and services that are also customizable, including local weather forecasts, music, and social networking.
