Great job Nigel. I am really happy the school has people like you and your staff expressing what a lot of people fear to say or refuse to hear. In just over a year you have grabbed attention of the whole NYIT community and I hope the Chronicle will live for long to keep doing what you guys do.

I certainly agree with this suggestion and it has already been brought to the attention of administration, including the head of security and Dean for Campus Life. The fate of the top floor for next year is uncertain but I am sure every effort will be made to allow access to all students after normal business hours. At this time, funding additional staff after hours is the main issue but again we are working hard to try to resolve the situation. While I can only speak on behalf of myself, I am sure other administrators will agree that you have all been very patient and understanding in the interim. And I thank you very much for that.

With the main reason for the closing of the lounge at 5pm being security, what will happen when the building is renovated and the offices removed? There will be no one up there to supervise. Just like it is now after 5pm. If we can’t be there now when there is no one there to supervise the lounge, how will we be allowed to be there when there is going to be nobody but students on the entire floor. The answer for the latter situation is obvious; hire somebody to supervise the floor for the entire day. With such a simple solution for the problem of lack of supervision for the entire day, why can’t we apply the same solution to the current problem of lack of supervision from the hours of 5pm-11pm?

Yes, we do need proofreaders. The editors do all they can but there's a lot of text to proofread.

Now by omissions do you mean that there are missing facts in the stories? Or that there are errors grammatical or logical?

Do you need some proofreaders for the Chronicle, I can help out. I found some omissions in some of the articles.

We love Celebrity Rap Superstar. Nice to see this group of celebrities push themselves into different challenges. There are 4 of us watching every Thursday night. Who's going to do what next? Very entertaining.
