NYIT students differ on Spitzer treatment.By Tanay HudsonChronicle Staff Writer While Governor Spitzer’s resignation may have drawn praise from politicians in Albany, there are many different opinions about his actions and the treatment he has received from the media here at NYIT. Melissa Maneri, NYIT ’11, believes that it’s wrong that Governor Spitzer has been exposed this way. “He shouldn’t be treated this way just because he is an authority figure,” Maneri says, “because this is something that is done everyday and everywhere.” On the other side, Rebecca Turkel, NYIT’08, believes that the treatment of the Governor is fair because what he did was simply illegal. “If he was trying to get rid of prostitution he shouldn’t have been taking part in it.”
