Here’s a listing of the student groups on campus!Student Government AssociationNYIT’s Student Government Association (SGA) is like the students faculty. The SGA members work for the students. They make sure that what the students are interested in and believe they need on campus gets done. Their mission is to make the campus and students life better for all. They also oversee the budgeting for all the other organizations and campus events.Contact: sgamanha@nyit.eduNYIT ChoirIs singing your passion? Ever wanted to learn. Than this is the club for you! Come and join in on NYIT’s Choir. Times/ locations will very each semester.Contact: studentsactivities@nyit.eduADDOIs your major graphic design or computer graphics or just doing it? Join the NYIT’s ADDO. This club is dedicated to those who enthusiastic about technology. The club is split two groups. The Graphics Designers will work and talk about creating logos and artwork. The Computer Graphics will do the same with animations. Both groups will enter their best work into national competition.Allied Health Life Science Organization (AHLSO)Networking is always hard for a college student to do, especially if you are science major. NYIT’s AHLSO, has networking down to a “t”. This organization will help you exchange information about local health centers and have you experience more about your chosen career. They also plan programs to raise awareness on health issues.American Institute for Architecture Students (AIAS)Architecture dominates NYIT’s student body. This organization helps promote better understanding of architecture, helps students through challenges that they will face as an architecture major, and introduce students to new innovations in their field. This is a national organization that provides students the opportunity to share ideas with their peers around the nation.Computer Programmers Consortium (CPC)Want to demonstrate your skills and learn from other computer program enthusiasts? Then participate as a member of this club, programming products, entering competitions, and gaining valuable experience.Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) This club competes with other colleges and universities in the practice of electronics and computers. Activities also include lectures from professors and conventional gatherings.Society of Hosteurs (SOH) NYIT’s SOH members have the opportunity to visit local hospitality companies, attend events, hear guest speakers, and participate in community service.Student Nurses Association (SNA)NYIT’s SNA dedicates their time to educating and contributing to the nursing program at our school. They expect the highest quality of health care from their representatives. SNA’s goal is to mentor students in this field and help them understand the fundamentals and current profession of nursing.Student Program Association (SPA) This association is where the entertainment at NYIT comes from! SPA students work together to provide events and activities at NYIT ranging from cultural, social and educational.
